Let's see if we have the complete picture here.

1) Big donors to the BSA pull their funding because the Scouts don't admit homosexuals.

2) Meanwhile, the BSA is currently under barrage from various criminal law cases due to the abuses inflicted on boys by homosexual Scout leaders who mananged to sneak past the screen.

If I wanted to crush an organization like the BSA out of existence, I couldn't think of a better scenario.
