I have read several articles that talk about 20 to 35 other people who were in the embassy compound that night and who were successfully rescued. Where are those people? Who rescued them? Why were the two top officials there the only ones killed? Seems like I also read something the day after the attack that talks about the “rescue mission” and how 2 more lives were lost, which I assume would have been the seals. Nothing about this makes common sense. Sure seems like this could have been a hostage attempt on the ambassador. Maybe with a rescue that went wrong. Would make sense if they wanted to trade Stevens for the Blind Sheik.

I don’t know about 35 other people supposedly rescued from the consulate. I do know that the rescue mission (Marines,) that was supposed to take place couldn’t because the airport was shut down and they had no place to land. They were delayed by seven or more hours because they had to drive from Tripoli to Benghazi. The 35 people you are talking about might be the other consulate employees who were not actually AT the consulate when the attack took place.
