However I have felt the country is lost for a while , now...The fact that we have a socialist regime in office, with such a lousy record, and he’s ahead or tied, tells you all you need to know. Make sure you live in a red state, folks.
In the long run I start to feel the country is lost whenever I begin talking with people under 30. They are almost completely ambivalent/agnostic on social or, dare I say, “moral” issues. They don’t really care about gay marriage because they seem to doubt the value of marriage in general. Capitalism? Just another economic system. One of many, no better and no worse than the others. U.S. Constitution? Okay for it’s time, but the Euros sure do seem to have some sweet benes.
Such people I’m afraid can be convinced to fall for almost anything (or to at least give it a try)
