The clandestine recording of Republican presidential candidate saying that 47 percent of Americans believe they are victims may have broken Floridas laws against eavesdropping.

Those who published it, and the Mother Jones Reporter, would initially refuse to give up their “source” and it would not be settled before the election; but someone would eventually be thrown under the bus for this.
I've heard this also.
It would be more effective if the Romney camp confirmed this and then start a media blitz of asking jimmah if he approved of what his grandson did, especially since it's illegal to tape in Fl without both subjects knowledge and consent.
That would embarrass the bejeebers out of carter - and make him a laughing stock - which would turn the whole thing around. For one thing, the media lapdogs would shut down the whole subject of the Romney tape real quick
Honestly, who cares if it was. It’s analogous to the “bitter-clingers” thing.
What Romney brought up was something we all know, specifically or instinctively.
The question now: Can he follow up?
It doesn’t matter now since Romney called for the taping to be released in its entirety, and it has. :(
So what? Do they care? Remember the recording of Newt Gingrich and the GOP House members that was leaked to the NYT? Eventually they won a lawsuit, but that was YEARS later. These guys want to do damage between now and November, and really don’t give a fig what happens afterards.
Anybody remember a Todd Akin? I believe the gentleman is still in the running for the seat of the Democrat lady. It was supposed that the Pubbies were almost crushed at one time, because of Akin.
True, especially because the "bitter clingers" comment was made/recorded in California, which is also a two-party consent state.
It will be tricky. In Maryland they have a condition that the situation indicates that you have a reasonable expectation of privacy to make that charge. A private fundraiser by invitation might meet that, or not. How did he get in?
Maybe he wont have to look for work when his sentence comes down from the judge. He’ll have food , clothing, and plenty of work.
