The clandestine recording of Republican presidential candidate saying that 47 percent of Americans believe they are victims may have broken Floridas laws against eavesdropping.

Romney needs to instead go on the offense and flesh out the message he was delivering when he said this.
He had no expectation of privacy. I recorded him last time in Tallahassee at a restaurant. So were many others.
Did anything ever come from that old couple that taped that Newt Gingrich conference call all those years ago?
Nobody has to pursue anything on a legal basis.
Just discredit the purveyor of the information.
Democrats have done this successfully for decades. They don’t deal with the information, they just attack and destroy the messenger.
So next time the subject of the video is brought up, just ignore the content and switch the subject to the illegality of the video.
I don’t know what happened to the Martins, but Jim McDermott, whom they gave the tape to and who then released it to the NY Times was sued on principle for $1.00 and lost.
Itt is one thing to quote someone and another to record them illegally. He broke the law, no consent was given..period. He should be prosecuted. He wanted to become a big league reporter, well he now has to learn the laws and the rules.
I’m happy this was released, but we should still chase a prosecution. Throwing Jimmah’s grandson in jail would be sweet.
Hey, maybe Jimmy the 4th can obtain Obama’s hidden video from the LA Times!
The video purportedly shows Obama making inappropriate comments at a Jihadi fundraiser; the LAT admits it has it, but won’t share it with us.
I was wondering about that.
“I am fairly certain that pursuing this idea would only make matters worse.”
True; anyway, laws are only for Republicans.
If I recall, they were slapped on the wrist with a $500 fine.
Carter found the video on youtube. Romney was speaking at a public fundraiser= no crime.
Deja vu all over again. Where were Gingrich and Boehner recorded?
Oh, yeah. It was:

At the same time the Martins were on the road so was Congressman John Boehner, a top member of the House Republican leadership. He was driving through the Lake City area, the last leg of a trip from his home in Ohio, to Marco Island off of Florida’s West Coast. But then Boehner pulled off the road and picked up his car phone to join a conference call.
Don’t expect any kind of investigation let alone a prosecution, the justice dept. is utterly corrupt & in need of a house cleaning that would make one of Joseph Stalin’s legendary mass grave filling purges look like a Sunday school kindergarten class singing Jesus Loves Me.
That’s the most disturbing thing about this episode - there’s a Jimmy Carter IV and he’s politically active.
Paging Linda Tripp.
No controlling legal authority...so says Al Gore.
ROFL..........not anymore....lol
16.2% of that number are social security recipients, not liberals.
I wonder if Romney would even want that to happen. However, the recording was done in the home of a billionaire, from what I understand. So, I’m thinking he would have the right to press the issue legally; and, this guy has the money to push this thing until there is an arrest and prosecution.
