Just came back from Montgomery Co. OH Romney HQ. We will not have yard signs until last week of Sept. So, I think the whole arsenal will be unleashed.
I have been hearing rumors that the Romney camp has something big on 0bama. I am not sure if it really exists, but I guess we will have to wait and see.
The effect of negative advertising is approx 2 weeks so if Mitt lets loose the 2nd or 3rd week of Oct with the same type of scorched earth campaign he rained down on Newt all should be well come Nov 6th.
Ras has him up by 2 with lvs, down 1 with rvs in Gsllup and the race is not even close with indys.

Romney is aiming for the 55% of the electorate who is addressable: workers, or people who would prefer to be working.
Romney is aiming for the Jews in Florida, with the leaked Pale video. Without Florida, I don’t think the numbers add up. Plus, Jews are THE biggest donors, usually to Democrats, and prying a goodly fraction away from Hussein helps with votes and cash.
More helpfully, the videos drive the left wild, and they think they have a Romney “Gotcha” moment, because the Left doesn’t understand that normal Americans (55%) will agree with Romney.
So, if this is crafted, it is brilliant. Don’t back down for a minute, Mitt! Release some more video that makes Leftists think they’ve “Gotcha”, when in reality you are shaving off their voters, and grabbing the marginal middle by STATING CONSERVATIVE OPINION with which a majority of Americans agree.
Damn. That’s almost Reaganesque.
No amount of money can over come Obama’s free advertisements on the top of the hour news, the nightly news, pbs, the papers..
I could go on.
Obama does not need as much money as Romney. Obama gets much of his advertising for free.
Unfortunately, the money goes to the enemedia. For every page of print advertising Romney buys, the newspapers will be able to run two pages of editorial copy designed to negate the ads. For every minute of TV or radio advertising Romney buys, the TV and radio stations will be able to afford to run 3 minutes of editorial and slanted news against him.
I think Romney is just letting Obama lengthen his own rope. Letting every action and word speak for itself, so when it is the debate, Romney can use everything Obama has done speak for itself.
October surprise: Romney will endorse Obama and will replace Biden as VP.
I’m not fond of Romney’s politics (what he actually believes and does when he’s not running for office). I’m not fond of his personality (the way he acts when he is not talking politics while campaigning). I’m not fond of anything about him - except that he is not Obama. Obama is by a huge margin the worst person to set foot in our White House in history, and the 2008 election outcome is the worst thing to happen to our country in recorded history. Romney is not Obama, and if Romney has enough money to run variants of that theme continuously, I can see how that would be convincing. If he will throw in some Obama quotes about spreading the wealth around, about clinging to God and to gun, and about what we didn’t build, then Romney may have something here. But it’s time. Get those ads rolling!

He left the msm off the list. The msm are doing everything they can to help Obama including outright lying. That is a big hill to overcome. I just hope the msm has been so over the top or over reaching that it is becoming more obvious to people as to what is going on.
This would seem to support what I’ve believed for the last couple weeks or so: the attacks by the Obama campaign aren’t designed to switch or lock in voters, but to drive fundraising after multiple consecutive Summer months of losing the money game to Romney.
The Obama strategy here is two-pronged: pick ideological fights and play up positive (and skewed) polls to generate additional donations from his supporters, while using those polls and charges of incompetence/mismanagement within the Romney Campaign to suppress donations to him from Conservatives/Republicans.
