The 47% number arises out of application of the federal personal income tax ~ and does not mean those people paid NO TAXES. I'd go so far as to suggest that anyone who believes it does should be institutionalized before they hurt themselves or others. It's just a bizarre belief that you can actually escape all taxation in this country ~
