A regime-affiliated religious foundation in Iran has boosted by $500,000 the bounty it had offered for the killing of British author Salman Rushdie to $3.3 million from $2.8 million, after protests around the world over alleged insults to the prophet Muhammad, who is considered holy in the Islamic world.
The 15 Khordad Foundation reportedly will pay the higher bounty to whoever acts on a 1989 fatwa issued by Irans late leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, which called for the death of Rushdie, the author of The Satanic Verses, because the novel was considered blasphemous to Muslims. Rushdie is also an apostate from Islam, making it almost impossible that the Islamic death sentence would ever be lifted.

I suspect it was Mr. Rushdie himself who boosted the bounty after he'd grown stale on the liberal cocktail party circuit.
Obama can send a drone after him!
Oh, wait... He’s a left-wing darling and vicious critic of Margaret Thatcher...
Never mind...
You know how every now and then someone will see Jesus or Mary in a cookie, wall, piece of toast....?
Well you can easily create a picture of Mo-Ham-Mud by stepping in a pile of pig poo. The prophet will make an appearance on the bottom of your shoe.
This is a golden opportunity to set up a terrorist trap.
I figure an empty, isolated cabin out in the woods, very hard to get to unless you are going just there. And a few observation posts, of sorts, along the way to let them know someone is coming.
Then post to some of the jihadi websites that Rushdie is on holiday there, defenseless, and easy prey.
When a group of meatballs show up to torture and murder him, armed to the teeth with guns and driving a car bomb, low and behold, they discover they have entered a roach motel.
And their earthly remains and their vehicle end up 200 feet underground in an abandoned mine shaft, with just carbon dioxide to breathe.
no problemo! rushdie can just hide behind his comrade michael moore. they’ll never find him....
