Judging the photos with my own eyes and somebody listing hospitals that are very near-- I feel rather certain that they didn't take him straight to the hospital. Maybe the ones who pulled him out had meant to but it didn't happen for hours.
There will probably be more videos and pics emerging in the next week or so...maybe we will learn more then.
