In this picture, it looks like Chris was still alive. His left arm is bent upwards. If he was dead, his arm would have been hanging down.
I don't know the sequence of the photos with any certainty, but in one of the bent arm pictures it appears rigor has started to set in and that is the position he was in--face down arm bent, head turned. I think they drug him around for a while. If they took him straight to the hospital, rigor wouldn't have started. Also, the pavers under him in the 1st picture don't match any pavers in photos that I have found in and around the burnt out/looted consulate.
