I don't think that was the point of the article. It was a window into the thinking of the protestors, and regular Egyptians who want nothing to do with them.

I tend to agree but I think my point still stands, people read newspapers in one of three ways, by scanning titles, reading the first two paragraphs, or reading the entire article.

You are absolutely right. My point about "that not being the point of the article" referred to your contention that the author never dispelled the notion that the video was ......etc.

The author was not trying to justify or explain about the video; he was showing a window into what's driving these protests, how an ignorant minority is creating the havoc, and the helplessness pther Egyptians feel that do not want this rioting/havoc/etc. I found it informative, is all.
