Update at noon: People are being allowed back on campus. A press conference is scheduled to begin shortly. One question likely to be asked: Why, if the threat came in at 8:35 this morning, didnt UT students receive a warning from campus officials till 9:50 about 10 minutes before the alleged bombs were supposed to have gone off?

I was a SOTA (student older than average) during the first gulf war. There were all kinds of threats that the students weren’t told about for several days. And the campus was never evacuated.
Since Muslim savages around the world are now 'energized', look for it to happen much more often.
Maybe so, but I agree that it’s bee surprising there hasn’t been more low-budget disruption. The mere threat of a thing can sometimes cause more damage than if it were real - (like a stampede from a crowded theater vs. an orderly fire exit).
Drudge has an article that there was an unguarded active nuclear reactor on the Campus.

This isn’t true. I’ve used that reactor several times. It is guarded and gated and behind several heavy locked doors. And it’s also only a piddly 1 MW research reactor.
That reactor is not on campus but in North Austin... At least as I understand it...
