I disagree with you. Having lived in the Middle East, you know an arab is lying because his lips are moving. The strong libyan response was because they know they will lose funding, nothing less than that. They are animals.
The financial situation of Egypt is even more dire then that of Libya. At least Libya has significant oil reserves to export, and a fairly small populace. Egypt, by comparison, has negligible exports, and without foreign aid would be only a few months away from depleting its foreign currency reserves, which would making importing food (Egypt is a net food-importer) for its 80 million citizens far more difficult. Logically, if any nation should be groveling for money, it would be Egypt.
