Gov. Rick Perry Blames Obama Administration for Libya Attack

AUSTIN, Texas -- Gov. Rick Perry is blaming the Obama administration for the death of a U.S. ambassador and three other Americans in an attack in the Libyan city of Benghazi.

In a harshly worded statement Wednesday, Perry blasted the president for condemning the attacks yet acknowledging "our attackers' supposed justification."

He said that conveys "an impotent foreign policy that fostered this crisis in the first place."

Perry said recent U.S. policy in Libya hasn't secured the country and allowed "rockets and artillery to be scattered to the terrorist winds."

He also blamed Tuesday's burning of the U.S. flag at the embassy in Cairo on what he called Obama's "shameful lack of leadership in Egypt." He added: "it is no wonder our enemies in the region are emboldened and our allies are afraid."

Thank God someone else has the guts to condemn the response from Obama.

What are the odds that behind the scene Obama supporters stirred up this trouble in Libya and Egypt to give him a foreign crisis to deal with?

It might be something they thought would help his campaign and it just went further than expected.

Why would they do such a thing?

- It puts the economy, unemployment and other issues on the back burner

- A foreign crisis would normally shut down or reduce most internal criticism of the president for the duration of the crisis

- A crisis like this usually causes the nation to rally behind a president, giving him a boost in his approval ratings.

- It gives Obama a chance to look and act presidential in a crisis

... and yesterday or this morning, Sarah Palin basically called Obie d!ckle$$.

Said yeah he likes to walk softly, but if he doesn't have a big stick he needs to grow one.

BS. Romney was first out of the box condemning the Obama admin for its apologetics. Perry is following Romney’s lead. And that’s to his credit because the GOP as a whole are cowards cowering in corners.

"I am ashamed of President Obama's lack of leadership in Libya, Egypt, and...um...in the country of...uh...what's the third one there...I can't... I can't remember. Oops.

Perry had his chance. He blew it.

No, I'm afraid it is you have "blown it", since this has nothing to do with the issue at hand. Mr. Perry's support is much appreciated I am sure.

Rick Perry must be given credit for bucking the spineless trend among other Republicans. It’s sickening to see Romney stand up to Obama, knowing full well that the media coordinated response would be brutal, and to get NO support from his own damn colleagues! Thank you, Perry, for doing the right thing. As soon as this happened, everyone should have joined the outcry, but so far. Palin, West, Rand and Perry are the only patriots rallying behind our candidate! SHAMEFUL!

Are you a Troll?

Did you vote for Obama last election and are you going to vote for him again?

The time to bash Perry is long gone. Perry was right on this and your effort to bash him makes you look like a worthless Obama supporter.

Do you like Gladiator movies?

Your post has no relevance.

Good thing he’s so inept that even this crisis will be mismanaged and his solution will be inept, and his solution to that will be inept, so on and so on.

Part of Gov Palin's statement. Check out the last line..

It’s about time our president stood up for America and condemned these Islamic extremists. I realize there must be a lot on his mind these days – what with our economy’s abysmal jobless numbers and Moody’s new warning about yet another downgrade to our nation’s credit rating due to the current administration’s failure to come up with a credible deficit reduction plan. And, of course, he has a busy schedule – with all those rounds of golf, softball interviews with the “Pimp with the Limp,” and fundraising dinners with his corporate cronies. But our nation’s security should be of utmost importance to our Commander-in-chief. America can’t afford any more “leading from behind” in such a dangerous world. We already know that President Obama likes to “speak softly” to our enemies. If he doesn’t have a “big stick” to carry, maybe it’s time for him to grow one.

You are exactly right!! HOORAY for Rick Perry standing up for America, Romney’s response and our suffering and sacrficed citizens abroad!!!
The U.S media should be ashamed! Obama and Biden have been proven already as shameless...but the media’s disgusting love affair with Obama and their sick need to support his re-election has put the final nail in their coffin...journalism is absolutely DEAD in the U.S. now. I knew it was gone many years ago...but this has to put it this to rest for most Americans now

RINOMney was first out of the blocks with a safe statement that didn’t tie Zero’s actions to the rising danger in the Middle East.
Perry did it right. RINOmney needs to learn.
