I watched Noonan deliver this drivel in her oh-so-breathy and world-weary voice this morning. I didn't think she could sink any lower than she did in 2008. Watching her this morning, I knew I was wrong. What a self-serving disgrace she is.

I think that an edict came down from the White House to condemn Romney for speaking out against the Obama foreign policy. I think that Obama told the press that it was imperative that the country speak with one voice and that one voice did not belong to Romney.

Noonan is oh so compliant.

The fact is that Obama slept through the events last night. The Three AM call came and Obama slept through it. …or maybe no one bothered to call him at all. In any case, he was MIA. People on the West coast were following the events very closely, waiting for some word from the President that he was on top of things and that the Marines were on their way. … but nothing came.

We finally went to bed and didn’t even know that Romney had finally spoken out. Romney must have been waiting for the President, too, because we didn’t hear about the Romney statement until this morning.

EXACTLY! She’s reached the point, usually reserved for liberals, where absolutely no one deserves hero-hood. They’re ALL wrong, however infinitesimally. She has become Drury’s Walter Wonderful.

Interestingly Noonan was the object of rage of such deep thinking ‘realists’ as Gergan and the guy who went to prison who was Reagan's imagimatician because she would ask embarrassing direct questions about something that the West wing boys were trying to pull off to make RR appear more ‘moderate’ and ‘centrist’. I am interested in how she has gradually drifted across the spectrum to be Dem light. I suspect it has to do with who she gets contracts for for her PR business. It is still another depressing example of the inside the beltway self referential corruption of spirit.
