During the monthly ovulation cycle, the egg has a life span of only 2-3 days for fertilization possibilities and the sperm in vagina can only live 2-4 days. So there are only a few days during the monthly cycle when conception can occur.
But that changes nothing how the sperm was introduced...by a loving husband or by force by a rapist. Both incidents have equal chance of conception. Conception has better chance with willing partners simply because they engage in sex more than once during the cycle, as opposed to only once by a rapist.
Todd Akin’s comments are offensive because when he says legitimate rapes has little chance of conception is that implies rape is no big deal, conception is unlikely and therefore abortion is a non-issue in a rape situation. My guess is 90% of women are seriously offended. It was easily the dumbest statement of 2012 by any politician.
Perhaps I overstated my complaint. :)
I in no way think Romney is a Marxist, but I thing the slow roll left is not a good thing.
The upside is I run a risk of being pleasantly surprised by Romney, there is Zero chance the other guy will do that.
I have voted for Congressman Gomert tried to strip funding for Egypt out of the CR today, but the GOPe would have none of it. They are not our friends.
In fact he did say that, but I know he can't do that, at least not constitutionally, but what the heck, Congress doesnt seem to mind anymore.
Yep, but unlike you I haven't had my opinions interpreted by lawyers. The people who make a living convincing people that what they know is not true.
I saw Senator McLame defending $2 Billion yearly aid to Egypt on Hannity show on Fox-TV today. That is similar to paying a robber to buy a gun so he can rob you.
Not true waivers are a part of the law.
Though I have no idea what you are trying to say I don’t really care.
Exactly. However, in pointing out a biological truth, you somehow seem to have failed to see the point that I was making based specifically on that biological truth
Maybe you should styart responding to what I've actually said, instead of what you assume I said?
