The Ariel University Center is in cooperation with international organizations and universities all over the world.[4][5][6][7] Even though there have been several boycotts of the college and its staff, both within Israel and internationally, due to the college being located in occupied territory.[8][9] These boycotts are being condemned against, both within Israel and internationally.[10][11][12]

On 17 July 2012, the Council for Higher Education in Judea and Samaria passed a resolution to grant full university status to the university center.[13] This move was praised by the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Minister of Education Gideon Saar, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman and some Knesset members[14] and Nobel Prize in Economics winning mathematician Robert Aumann.[15] This move was condemned by the Council of Presidents of Israeli Universities, over 1000 Israeli academics and Palestinians
