When the GOP candidate stands there like a punching bag this is what is to be expected. The GOPs only advantage up to this point was money. Obama is now leading there as well. Romney go zero bounce from his convention, and Zero got a big bounce from his. Romney didn't give us a single talking point. He never went after Obama. He offered no reason to vote for him or to vote against the other guy.
The Democrat convention may have been a freak show, but it was a highly motivated freak show. The GOP is just going through the motions for a candidate that the majority don't particularly like. The press will always be against us. That is a simple fact. Romney needed to go directly to the American people and make his case. The GOP convention offered that exact opportunity. What he did with his opportunity was have a senile old man talk to an empty chair. Then take the stage himself and speak in a boring monotone about glaring generalities. He had his chance, and he blew it.
Half of America is getting free Obama money. They appear quite happy to live on food stamps and watch American Idol on TV. Bread and circuses appears to be all Obama needs to win.

One thing...Obama isn’t now leading in money.
He outraised Romney the past month.
But before that, for many months, Romney raised way more than Obama.
Obama spent what money he did raise on ads.
Romney has way more money in the bank than Obama.
Tons.
