OK.....got it. Goodhearted people were ready for change & Obama was an unknown quantity with an enormously favorable buzz factor. McCain sucked as a candidate. Didn’t really want the job anyway, IMO.
It’s four years later & Obama has enormous negatives based on his record in office. He is seen as the candidate of some truly leftwing crazies who will use the race card like a bludgeon, yelling “You just don’t like having a black man as President!”
I must hold to my belief that this time lots of people called by pollsters will answer falsely & pull the handle for Romney, if for no other reason than to say chuck you Farley to the current regime.
