Iranian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, who was originally sentenced to death in his native country for his Christian faith, was acquitted of apostasy charges and released from custody.
Nadarkhani, 32, was imprisoned for three years and waiting execution for refusing to renounce his Christian faith. His charges were lowered to evangelizing to Muslims, which carried a three-year sentence. He was released with time served, according to the American Center for Law and Justice, a Washington-based watchdog group that had been campaigning for the pastor's release.
"Today our sources in Iran reported that Pastor Youcef was acquitted of apostasy and released from prison. After languishing in prison for almost three years, he has been reunited with his family," Jordan Sekulow, executive director of ACLJ said in a statement to FoxNews.com.

A very brave, courageous man indeed. He could have renounced his faith but refused to deny his Lord and Master.
Puts to shame a lot of people who call themselves Christians here.
Meanwhile, liberals in Washington are up in arms over the decision the decision to let the racist homophobe christian out of prison and his reprieve from execution.
I want to weep looking at that photo.
Yes!! Thank you Lord for Your faithfulness to this servant.
Great is Thy faithfulness. Thank you Lord
Thank You, Heavenly Father!
Thank You, Lord.
Praise the Lord!!
A blessing indeed his life was spared. Pray mightily for all those in so many countries running for their lives, blown up, tortured and again crucified. I can only hope to be as brave when the time comes we’re all arrested for our faith should the US continue it’s downward spiral following the great delusion.
What a great man of faith. Thank you Lord, for your blessings on this man and his family.
I just wonder what this Pastor’s speech would be like at the DNC convention right after they voted ( and booed) to have God put back in the platform. I bet his speech would bring tears.
All those ‘christians” ( yes, small c for them)...all those Blacks who sing Gospel in church or the catholics ( yes, small c for them) who take the Eucharist on Sunday....they would probably boo this pastor too.
Too close to reality there!
Thank you, Lord, for restoring this man to his family. May all Christians be blessed by the example of his faithfulness throughout his persecution.
Call off the strike. /s
Marvelous, marvelous. Rejoicing with my fellow FReepers.
Praise the Lord! Thankyou!
Thank God for this!
Just wonderful news. Halleluiah !!
Iran is hoping for an Obama win so they did the political thing.
