I quit watching TV over 10 years ago.

FrogDad watched less and less until a year ago, when he realized he hadn’t turned it on in over 3 months, finally had the satellite disconnected.

We have been geocaching, reading, watching old series on DVD (mostly Sci-Fi), and older movies while doing jigsaw puzzles together.

We don’t miss TV.

"We have been geocaching,"

We just started in June! Love it! It made our trip to New Orleans like an adventure. The Geocache "View Carre" was the highlight of our trip!

I don’t watch television, though I DO watch a lot of movies via Netflix, iTunes or DVD.

TV literally sickens me, shows like “Modern Family” (which my wife loves) and such. I hear there is a new show coming out called “The New Normal” which is probably a descriptive title of what agenda they are likely pushing.

I haven’t watched more than five minutes of a news broadcast since 9/11, and before that, it was the early Nineties.

People seem to have an obsession with things like CNN, where they have it on constantly as background noise. I think it is unhealthy, and besides, I have no need or desire to hear repeated talk for months on end about some woman in California who killed her child and buried it in her back yard, or a party girl who went missing in Aruba.

I know there is sickness in society, I don’t need to have it hammered into me repeatedly.
