IIRC, just about all of Bobby Golsboro’s songs told a story. Guy had a knack for it. My favorite was ‘Saturday Morning Confusion’.

That was Bobby Russell.

Thanks, just writing about it brought the tune back into my head and I realized the voice wasn’t Goldsboro’s. Appreciate the correction though.

Funny story from about the time that song came out.

We had just bought our first house, a split foyer, and the first Saturday in that house I was kind of afraid my son —who was only four— would have trouble finding little firends on the cul de sac. I had been out of town all week and awoke Saturday morning to the TV in the downsatirs den blaring. Went to the kitchen and could not find any cereal or milk! Down in the den, my son had two little girls with him on the floor feasting on cereals and watching cartoons. He was a cute little guy ...
