He understood the power of a narrative (particularly a false one), and he allowed himself to be turned into a BRAND-—but that came easy to him because he has no core, which is why Eastwood’s chair was so powerful. Romney is bright, but insulated. He doesn’t know what he is getting into yet. It will be a sobering shock.
