I just figured it out — this is Bill Clintons’ night to run against Romney! He can’t seek another term, but if he could, this is it. Step aside Barry, lemme show you how it’s done.
Then tomorrow night Obama has to try to outdo Clinton, who will have clearly outclassed, outspoke, and out enthused the crowd.
So - no overt or even subtle undercutting of Obama, just a typical Bill Clinton speech that will leave every delegate wishing they could vote for HIM, and looking down at Obama as a lousy alternative.
Hehehehe Night.
He did well but now way too long and way too much argument.
We’ve prevented all the roads and bridges.
Hey Obie where’s them shovel ready jobs and where’s all that money?
Thanks!
WJC used the pointy finger to say, re 0’s 3/4 billion raid on Medicare, “There were no cuts to benefits at all, none.” I had an instant flashback to his Lewinsky lie.
Adoring audience seems to be getting a little antsy..probably longing to hear “in conclusion”. It will undoubtedly get the same standing O that he received the last time he spoke ad nauseum at a convention.
Nooooooo Billllll don’t bring up the debt at the DNC! Silence befalls the room...
“You’re thinking Nancy, not Ron....and it’s horsecrap.”
Little do you know...it was his little secret.
Maybe, but, he doesn’t have much of a track record of getting anyone elected except for himself.
Double down on trickle down.
On the bright side, local news outlets will be p.o.ed at the Dems for making them stay so late to do their broadcasts.
He has screwed up. He spoke too much trying to prove how smart he is and nobody, even the pundits, will be able to dissect this so-called speech.
In that case I suppose it's good that the only people watching are the people that are going to vote for Obama no matter what, and the people like us that aren't going to vote for him no matter what Clinton says. Everybody else is watching the NFL season opener...
Just wondering....how’s your “swear jar” holding up?
I just paid off the house with mine!!
Very poor speech. Long winded.
His voice is strained. He rambles. He interrupts his applause.
Not spellbinding, not motivating, whiny, full of crap, borrrrrrrrrrring, talking to fast and not pausing to let his main points sink in.
PS Did I mention, that this man is one of two American mean to be IMPEACHED as PRESIDENT?
This is how corrupt their party truly is, as if nothing ever happened. They follow along like Nazi trolls. Now he is into the collectivist funk. Cannot take much more.
