Back in March, my 11-year-old got a kitten who was the joy of her life. She tucked her shirt in her pants and would carry the kitty in there 24/7.
Four weeks later, the kitty was put down for feline leukemia. So much for “rescue organizations all have healthy cats”.
My daughter hasn’t recovered yet.
Oh my gosh. That is so sad. There’s nothing purer than a little girl’s love for her animals. I hope she will be able to love another kitty or dog sometime soon, poor thing.
