I just saw the Dem convention opening ceremony. Even though they moved it from the 70K capacity stadium to the 20K capacity auditorium, the crowd still looked sparse. It looked like there were maybe 5 to 8 thousand. The crowd would have been lost in the stadium that was to be the original venue. Lots of Dems stayed home.
Just the Thursday night coronation speech is scheduled for the stadium.
