The ideal family is the multi-generational family that was exticted in the middle of last century when welfare took over caring for the older generation in households and we switched to the “nuclear” family structure, little did we know that was a stepping stone to the complet dissolution of the family as a unit.

The Old timers are now kept segregated fromt he family and are unable to pass their timeless wisdom onward to the younger generation, what fills this vaccum? Government control, plain and simple.

This also leads to a lack in respect for the elders, this “infantized” generation makes the manipulation of the masses far easier than it once was....

That explains why my family works pretty well. My mom and my my wife’s parents are just 45 minutes away, so my kids spend almost as much time there as do at home, at least on weekends.

I suppose if we had a big house with everybody moved in, or maybe a multi-unit compound, things would really rock.
