Most Americans are oblivious to so much. I am hopeful that those of us on FR can provide warning to our friends and families who are not so cognizant of matters.
Gosh, I think if we wake up to news that Europe has closed the banks due to a panic, that might be a few hours warning. Or the missiles are flying in the Middle East. But anything could trigger a panic, once videos of looted supermarkets in the USA get around. People would head to their local food market “just in case” and this extra buying might cause a panic. Who knows? We are in uncharted water. Most important: don’t live on or near fatal terrain. See my article about the CW2 Cube if you have not read it yet. Being on bad terrain will mean the worst happens to you first. Being far in the boonies will give a buffer of time, I should think.
