Gosh, I think if we wake up to news that Europe has closed the banks due to a panic, that might be a few hours warning. Or the missiles are flying in the Middle East. But anything could trigger a panic, once videos of looted supermarkets in the USA get around. People would head to their local food market “just in case” and this extra buying might cause a panic. The Japanese reactors had backup generators for the cooling systems. Then the earthquake and tsunami happened, flooded the ones that were in the basement, and the roads were in no shape to allow for fuel deliveries for the generators, or to truck in replacement generators.
On 9/11, NYC's main emergency command center was on the 23rd floor of 7 World Trade Center.
We will eventually find out what sort of disaster will knock out the generators for the water system.

You sir, are the RACIST, reading into my essay what was never there. Did you read it, or read "about" it? Can you please cite where I compared blacks to rats in a cage? If you cannot, then I disrespectfully suggest that you go walk into rush hour traffic, or off a tall building, or do some other good for humanity in that vein.
I don’t think a decline requires architects to engineer it. Human nature just runs its course. THis time, there is a lot more humanity, living very far from their food sources. Anything stops the deliveries, starvation and madness will follow quickly.

It’s a pretty evil strategy to lead a nation into a fatal culdesac, or over a buffalo jump, because you believe that post-crisis, your Bolshevik buddies will be able to take control.
I’m going to be blunt — I don’t care what happens to the “urban” population anymore. They’ve made it clear that they don’t want help, they bite the hand that feeds them, and won’t lift a finger to help themselves or get themselves out of their predicament. Half want just to grouse, and the other half want blood revenge.
Fine. Screw ‘em. They can kill each other, burn their neighborhoods down, abort their next five generations, whatever. I don’t care what happens to them. They’ve kept themselves where they are and if that brings consequences then that’s their tough luck.
People bemoan “food deserts”. If there are food deserts, the people living in those deserts are directly and entirely to blame for them. The women won’t demand marriage from their men, thus they can’t discipline their kids alone, the “baby daddies” are horrible examples of parents, and the cycle repeats. Of those kids who don’t just repeat the cycle, the rest turn to violence. Of course there are food deserts — they’ve placed themselves well outside the green zone, and they don’t even realize it.
To the lurkers: gripe and grouse, raise the fist and yell “kill whitey” all you want. It’s you that are killing each other. When the last of you is left, just wake me when you don’t have anyone else left to shoot at, because I couldn’t give a rat’s behind about what you’re putting your own vaunted “community” through.
