Some voterswho might otherwise have voted for Romneywill be against changing leaders during a war. I've heard that old chestnut, like everyone else. I just can't bring myself to believe it is an ironclad truth, particularly with this President.
If a general like Peter Pace were running against an incumbent Hillary on the eve of hostilities, does anyone really believe the country would stick with Hillary?

**BUMP** for the General Pace mention!
General Peter Pace is a Marine's Marine, a patriot, one of the finest men to serve as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (and was unfortunately thrown under the bus by GWB), and I would have been highly pleased if he had been considered as a VP choice by Romney, not taking anything away from Paul Ryan.
In a Romney Administration, I can think of no finer man to serve as Secretary of Defense.
Semper Fi!

Believe me, I hope it’s just an old chestnut. There are no shortage of variables. I still believe Zero has the bully pulpit and the advantage if war breaks out in the ME. He will try to manipulate the situation to his own advantage. God willing, it may blow up in his face.
