Hey, North Carolina is a beautiful state & I like to visit Charlotte from my home in Columbia, SC. Even if their governor is a liberal nutcake.

The Army Reserve HQ I used to drill at off Central Ave in Charlotte is in the middle of the artsy district. Not exactly NASCAR territory but lots of great ethnic restaurants, it was hard to decide where to do lunch.

People I know there just want this Demvention to be over. Rent-a-mobs are the biggest worry.

I have friends from my days in NYC, now living in Charlotte, and they’re well-prepped for trouble. I visited them a few years ago, and except for the humidity, I loved the place and people. (I should have gone in the Winter months; August wasn’t a good month for low humidity...)
