1980 was the first year I was able to vote in a Presidential election - and I have to admit - I have no clue what what you’re talking about.

Could you help me out and expand on your comment......pretty please (with a cherry on top, even)

Kennedy and Carter were in a bitter fight for the nomination, and Kennedy’s speech said nothing about why Carter should be re-elected, it was all about Kennedy’s vision for the future, Carter was pissed, and when they were on stage together at the end, they barely acknowledged each other, and many thought that doomed Carter, as a lot of Democrats actually wound up voting for Reagan.
