the host interrupted. I live in a neighborhood where people are shot on my street corner. I live in a neighborhood where people have to figure out how to get their kid into school because maybe it will be a good school and maybe it wont. I am sick of the idea that being wealthy is risky!/

Harris-Perry was Associate Professor of Politics and African American Studies at Princeton University from 2006 to 2010. Currently she is Professor of Political Science at Tulane University.[6]
She was married to Dennis Lacewell from 1999 to 2005, with whom she has a daughter.[6][10] She currently lives in New Orleans and is married to James Perry,[2] who was a 2010 candidate for mayor in New Orleans.[4] Two days after the seventh anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, Harris-Perry tweeted that the abandoned house in the 7th ward that she and her husband had bought and were restoring was destroyed during Hurricane Isaac.
Really? Seriously? I doubt it was a hovel she and her husband purchased to restore. She’s as big a liar as obama.
First let me say I think New Orleans is a beautiful city.
But also has a very high crime rate and poor educational system.
If the lady lives there and is spouting this babble there is a serious disconnect. Or she is a kook. Or she is a liar.
I lived near the 7th ward for many years and drove through it every day. There are some very nice homes in that area. I doubt that she lost her home during Isaac. I heard that 2 or 3 empty shell houses fell down in the city.
Good work on the facts.
