If it isn’t close they cannot cheat.
The only thing I can think of that might really torpedo Mitt, is if he pushes the Mormon thing too hard in his final campaign weeks. The LDS is of course chomping at the bit for what they view as their finally deserved place in the sun. But Mitt can’t yield to their wish to tell everybody that they ought to be Mormon. Not if he doesn’t want to get half his erstwhile supporters to sit the election out.
Hi Tech? Just old fashion cynical ignorance.
Romney to date has been instinctually shy about his Mormon faith in public, so I wouldn’t worry about him “pushing” that. The only reason he had to talk about it at the convention was because everyone said he had to “humanize” himself and show who he was and his personality. Of course, the left could go on a public anti-Mormon crusade and force him to respond.
(Reid: member Democratic Party - Senate Majority Leader since January 2007 - Mormon)
The MSM has ignored Reid's religion for years...
Mormonism can't be OK for Reid, but not OK for Romney. The press was caught.
They wanted to hype up fear and hatred, but that hatred would reflect on their boy Reid. Caught. And another problem - the contrast would highlight their bias and hatred for conservatives.
The hypocrisy of damning the same religion for one member - but not for 'their' member would be obvious even beyond the press's ability to give themselves endless passes. So, it became a non-issue.
Wouldn't it be funny if an official government organization added fake names in tight swing precincts to see if some group was voting the people who don't show up to vote? Folks in Milwaukee are 'discovering' a lot of people on the roles don't seem to exist... people who have been 'voting' for years. Might be 'cover your ass' time...
I have no idea how Mormons conduct their services, but I’ll bet a pound to a penny that Romney never sat and listened to the words “God damn America” in his church.
