Was it the rains from Isaac really?
oh I hope so.... How appropriate if it was. Isaac (children of Israel)/Ismael (children of Allah)
A trough ahead of a front did pull moisture up to this area from the Gulf region unexpectedly early, so it’s accurate to say that it was remnants of Isaac. We’ll be experiencing it for the best part of the week, although an anticipated low forming off the Carolina coast has failed to materialize. We’d have gotten a good, lengthy soaking rain rather than unstable conditions of sun and cloud with occasional heavy downpours.
Mid-late August through early October can tend to get rains coming through like that. Peak hurricane season, and just generally rainier. My grandfather called it “the equinox,” farmers depend upon it after a hot, baking summer. It turns a tobacco crop around before harvest, which can occur right up to first frost. I’ve seen people out working at night pulling tobacco to get it in before a frost, even done it myself as a teen.
Omigosh, I hadn’t thought of it that way! Good for you for pointing it out! Looks like the Obama worshippers don’t know about/observe the First Commandment.
