Part of the genius in the use of the imaginary Obama was that Eastwood didn’t want us to see the chair as empty. This enabled him to correctly depict Obama’s reaction to being criticized.
“Tell Romney to go f#@k himself”.
“Go f#@k yourself Eastwood”.
And by implication...
“Go f#@k yourself courts”.
“Go f#@k yourself legislative branch”.
“Go f#@k yourself Catholic Church”.
“Go f#@k yourself private sector”.

From Rowdy Yates to Dirty Harry he represents EVERYTHING good in the American character.

I was hoping it would have been a refinement of the Half Time in American commercial. But, I enjoyed it.
1. You got to admit, this was memorable, and will indelibly the vision of a empty chair (empty leadership) will ring far past this convention.
2. Who better than Clint to be able to make insulting Obama acceptbale without looking racist.
History will this was a great strategic move.
I Loved it, and I am willing to bet that those idiots at the DNC will try to do something at thier convention to copy the Empty chair routine to make Mr. Eastwood look foolish..But they will Fail!
