Manuel's Tavern is the DeKalb County Democratic headquarters.
It's a bar at the corner of North Ave. and North Highland that was owned for years by Manuel Maloof, the longtime chairman of the county commission and local Democratic force.
He was an old-fashioned ward heeler, and he would be astonished and annoyed at the mess his successors have made of the Democratic Party.
