The problem is the 27 out of 28 times that a large quake happens on a date other than a full moon, nobody says "hey, this didn't happen on a full moon."
The idea that there's something special about a full rather than a new moon is rather silly, though there's no evidence that the moon phase has anything to do with the dates of large earthquakes (there are some DAILY tidal influences on small quakes.)
Of course this is all based on Berkeland's worthless vague predictions which exert a hypnotic spell over idiots.
I never even thought to check the moon when the ‘Big’ one hit here last year... you, by any chance, know?
