You can say that again. Still, despite a few awkward spots where I wondered if he had memorized his speech but had trouble recalling what came next or had vision problems and couldn’t see or at least couldn’t find the next line, he was great. The humor was classy and excellent, and he’s still Clint. I just hope he was feeling tired today, and age isn’t really slowing him down that much.

I thought he did fine. In the movies you get to re-do the lines until they are just right.

Movie stars are generally not good public speakers—and when you see them stumble a little it is so different it is more noticeable.

I thought he spoke for “ Everyman .”
