Rather than stand and be counted with the ones who can stop Obama in November, they wash their hands under a rubric of piety.

I think it's a matter of them being paralyzed to inaction by Mitt's liberal (lying) past. They can't work with that. The possibility that Mitt now might be conservative even if it's a small possibility, because he has talked conservative for the last 6 years, doesn't matter to them. They'd rather choose inaction and the sure death and destruction Obama will bring instead of take the chance on the greasy one with the liberal record who now talks conservative.
