It is showing a side of Romney that we never see...his soft side. I hope he addresses the energy crisis, environmentalists, health care and more and he very well may do just that..stay tuned.

I’m sure you’re an expert but you leave the “red meat” speeches for the underlings. A Presidential nominee should come across, above all, pragmatic.

It’s not a question of what I want. I don’t care what he says because he already has my vote. (I’d vote for the neighbors’ Golden Retriever, at this point.) The question is, is this speech calibrated to rouse the troops and sway those who are sitting on the fence? Red meat would not do it. He has to persuade people that he’s not a store mannikin, he’s not fake, he’s not a robot. This is the speech that was necessary to show the human side.
