I don’t know what convention you’re watching, but I have a different opinion.
To: Bloody Sam Roberts
I always thought he was a pretty darn good singer and entertainer.

I think Taylor Hicks is extremely talented. Saw him at the House of Blues once, and it was one of the best shows I ever saw. I’m glad to find out he’s Republican...or at least, he’s not hostile to Republicans, like most celebrities.

I am extremely excited. The GOP has a wonderful stable of newcomers. I have been very impressed by them.
I am very happy that Paul Ryan was chosen. He is positively electrifying. He is smart and humble.
I want Obamacare gone. I want all of us older folks not subjected to death panels. I want the party of death and infanticide, the democrats, kicked to the curb.
If Clint Eastwood is with us, welcome Clint Eastwood, he is doing the right thing!
I can’t wait until tonight.

This guy?
President Obamas ad-makers may have to pay royalties to Clint Eastwood after a remarkable two-minute Chrysler commercial that aired on the biggest of all stages - the Super Bowl - and gave a pretty good preview of what the president's reelection commercials might look like. At the very least, the ad and Eastwood's powerful narration make it much, much more difficult for Republican front-runner Mitt Romney to keep pushing his line that Washington should have let the automakers go into bankruptcy.

I think it was “go ahead and make my day, Obama”

I always thought he was a pretty darn good singer and entertainer. Not to brag...but when I first saw him on AI...I picked him to win. I haven't watched a moment of AI since but I knew he had something different. Some of his performances were just spectacular. But I always did like the genre where he fits best.

I thought I glimpsed another Idol guy from later than the Taylor Hicks year, last night at the convention, singing somewhere on some stage.Danny Gokey, I think it was/
To: Red Badger
You probably mixed up Taylor Hicks and Taylor Swift. They both are talented singers, with different genre. Hicks is blues, while Swift is country.

Taylor Hicks has an amazing, bluesy voice that matches the best. I really enjoy his music and I thought he’d win the whole thing too, and I was glad when he did!

They’ve both got too much common sense to even entertain the notion of doing that.

I thought hed win the whole thing too, and I was glad when he did! Again...not to brag...but when Vanessa Williams was a contestant for Miss America way back when...I picked her as the eventual winner after seeing a newspaper spread that featured photos of all 50 contestants.
Sometimes I just get a vibe and I know it's a certainty.
However, I never get them in a casino and I suck and gambling. Go figure.
