Christ Matthews doesn’t ‘get it’ - MLK was a Republican - Bull Conner was a democrat. Republicans passed the civil rights bills with HIGHER percentages than democrats. The ONLY modern day member of the Senate who was ALSO a member of the KKK was DEMOCRAT Robert Byrd. Democrats kept that secret from their own people for years. George Wallace was a democrat.

It is clear that the underlying tenant of the Obama team talking points is that they want to push the meme of Racism for any criticism. They want to insulate themselves from that and they want to shame people in the voting booth. Matthews has taken that direction to heart and is the lead cheerleader in the election strategy,,, well all of MSNBC is but he is in the lead role.
As always, and I see it with Akin, the playbook is old and they always overreach.
With his treatment of Priebus the other day and his immediate racism claims after the Ryan speech it is clear he is taking his direction very seriously. I don’t underestimate the effect though. Watching the nambly pambly wishy washy undecided focus group on CNN - there are a lot of folks very susceptible to the racism claims because there are a lot of uniformed people voting on emotion.
I don’t question who God chooses to let live, but why does only the GOOD die young?..........
