Our GOPe go-along posters here are going to have an absolute fit. They promised us Akin was DONE. I’m sure they’ll try twice as hard to destroy him though after reading this. After all, it’s what Rove and Romney want.
If Akins wins *and* if Romney carries Missouri I will apologize abjectly for my demands that he withdraw. Before that *politically* stupid comment Missouri was counted as a clean sweep for Republicans.Anything less than that in November is *AKINS'S* fault.
PERIOD!!!!

What a load of crap! All Republicans have a vested interest in securing that Senate seat! This guy stepped on his dick big time and these polls are not the most reliable ones to view. Akin did not win the nomination in a landslide! So it’s reasonable when he tanks through his stupid statement, that he should, for the good of us all, relinquish his position to someone who stands a chance of winning. In looking at Akin’s record in the House, you can’t say he was a leader, so just why do we all have to allow him to sink our chances in the Senate? If he manages to regain his lead, good; but I won’t be holding my breath till I see it from credible sources.
Don’t be gullible enough to take this survey as a victory, and that Akin’s blunder has been overcome.
The DEMS have not even begun to exploit it. I wish it were not so.
I don’t doubt that Akin is a good man, a conservative man.
But, as I have said before, all I really care about is defeating McCaskill and Obama.
Whatever it takes.
I don’t care if Akin’s career is over.
I don’t care if his supporters are upset.
I don’t care if he apologizes for the next 10 years.
If Akin really cared about Pro-Life issues, he would withdraw.
