OK so I caught some of the speeches tonight. Portman and Pawlenty demonstated why they were not picked for VP. When Huckabee was speaking I hit the mute button and caught up on some reading. I thought Condi was sharp and gave a great speech. I was thinking during the speech it might be an opening salvo for 2016 if Romney loses. MAybe Condi plays a more domestic role in the Romney administration. As for Susana MArtinez I had never heard her speak before but I had read an article about her in National Review so I liked what she had to say. She has a very inspiring personal story. As for Paul Ryan I had a high bar and he met it. An excellent speech and you just have to know that after the DNC types trash Ryan they immediately run to their twitter buddies and say ‘oh my god are we really going to let Biden debate this guy’.
Portman was ok, not overly inspiring as the speeches went this evening, but he is one of my Senators and I like him. Condi was excellent...so, you think something domestic this time around...Health & Human Services...or maybe the one to head and ‘dismantle’ DHS? Susana Mattinez was right on, and obviously from her speech tonight is pro 2nd Amendment, and it is not unnoticed that the only, ever, female Hispanic Governor is a Republican. Paul Ryan hit it out of the park.
All of this is just my humble opinion...
