And the constitution of MA grants no powers to the state government to force individuals to buy health insurance as a requirement for living. They cite, at best, the taxation powers of the state.

And therefore it is up to the residents of Massachusetts to take action if they so choose, to overturn it or accept it. It appears that they want it. Which is also their right as residents of that state.
