I appreciate your comments. You give me credit/blame for implications I did not make. I do not endorse Romneycare. That was not my point at all. I am not convinced that Romneycare has worked well in Massachusetts. Frankly, I don’t live there and don’t really care. THAT is the point. Let states do what they will. Some programs will succeed, others will fail. Other states will see what works and what does not, and all should benefit.
I DO suggest that states are more likely to devise better working programs than Congress can.

My intent was to challenge the Libs money trap which is as follows: “Government at all levels can solve all of your problems better than the free market can. All you taxpayers have to do is give us all your money, and then trust us, and we will take care of you from cradle to grave.” Back in the day it was best stated as “All you have, are belong to us.”
Again, you provided the quote, and I expanded it, with NO intent to assign any ownership of my expansion to you.
My challenge took your quote and expanded it, very crudely as you have pointed out, to demonstrate how we can very easily reject the free market choice of supply and demand in favor of the myopic, self-interest, viewpoints of politicians and their bureaucrats.
We live in a time where the inertia of ever-increasing political control of all aspects of our society is having the destructive effect on society that allows dictatorial-minded men and women to dominate our society for generations to come.
If we do not stand up and oppose the IDEAS that they assume we should approve of, we the voters, will become the sheep who blindly obey our Liberal Masters.
