I agree with you. And also think part of the liberal mindset is also basically broke too. So many people basically don't have the money to spend, and fear committing themselves to future obligations to spend / tax themselves even more. Even liberals are broke. The stupid train wasn't supported by the state's citizens, it was pushed by the legislature, but mostly by Brown. And That will keep many people from rallying to anything else he is asking for now. He basically shoved the train to nowhere - down all of California's citizens throats.

The stupid train wasn't supported by the state's citizens, it was pushed by the legislature, but mostly by Brown. It was passed as an inititive, at least intially. It called for spending 10 billion as a down payment, with a supposed total cost of 40 billion. Of course opponents predicted it would cost well over 100 billion, and billions more every year to run. And now the offical price tag is indeed north of 100 billion, for a train that would initially connect two cow towns in the Central Valley. But the greedy RATS will do anything to get their hands on more federal money and create union jobs. Californians will vote for any liberal spending scheme, and against any taxes to pay for it.
