Great ideas. I haven’t been able to figure out why you have to be a certain age to get a GED - my homeschooled kids could easily pass it now and we could stop jumping through hoops for the state.

It is not uncommon for some kids to skip two - three grades. Contact your state education commission and find out the criteria for public school multiple grade promotions. Start there. You see kids graduating HS at 14 and 15 years old. Find the criteria from the state then give it a go. Good Luck.

That's about what I was thinking. I grew up in an old-school district where they emphasized reading, writing, and arithmatic (I missed out on most of the touchy-feely stuff).

I guarrantee I could have passed the modern GED test out of 8th grade.
