To be honest I am not that familiar with guns and which is more appropriate in what circumstance.
If I were forced to choose I would say give them the gun Dirty Harry used and turn em loose on the bad guys
That .44 Magnum was a real cannon, but with Callahan shooting it, it was a sure hit.
